Golant

January 12, 2010 by John Fiddes

A follow-up review by Eddie Doherty, posted on the Art House facebook profile.

“When recently redecorating my living room, I decided that I wanted something more original than the standard fare of commercial prints. I had based the colour scheme on my small collection of troika pottery and kingfisher blue whitefriars glass and I wanted something that would match that. While searching on the internet I found a movie called ‘The Toika Collection‘ which showcased a series of paintings by UK based artist John Fiddes. The collection showed a series based on the colours and textures of Troika.

(Golant’s place alongside Eddie’s Troika pieces is exactly what I had in mind when I created the artwork ~ John.)

Eddie continues:”I was so delighted by Golant that I purchased quite a different looking piece, ‘Abstract in Blue’ (right). Once again my purchase arrived promptly, well packaged and quite stunning. The moral of the story, you can buy original art from UK based artists for affordable prices, indeed sometimes cheaper than mass market prints. So support original artists, you’ll benefit and art will benefit.”
